Golf Gti Back Ache Is There Any Difference Between A 2007 Golf Gti And A 2006 Rabbit Gti?

I was wondering, is a more than a Golf GTI 2007 GTI 2006 Rabbit? I have heard that they were different. I think a rabbit GTI is a lil faster than a Golf GTI, my black 2007 Golf GTI The GTI only in the back and gettin the new GTI has the letters with the emblem of rabbits, so I just wondered if a difference between them or whether they the same? Cuz we both have the same body style and everything else just leads such as seat, and the hare is the symbol of the rabbit.
